An Invitation to the Economy of New Jerusalem

Hello, I am sharing this message to shout from the rooftops that you can live in the heavenly city (New Jerusalem) promised by God in Revelations 21-22 here and now in this current world. You can enjoy a lifestyle in which God has blessed you in all things despite the challenges of this world. Emigrate now to the New Jerusalem. (Adullam Advisor, September 2020)
Texts – please read the Bible passages stated in parenthesis as you read the post. The passages are quoted for your reference at the end of the post.
Key Points
- The New Jerusalem is God’s ultimate lifestyle for man – a city in which all its citizens have all their pains, sorrows, financial challenges, sicknesses, death, etc. taken away. A city in which all things in their lives have been made new. It is not a physical city, rather it is a spiritual condition that produces a lifestyle that can be summarized as follows – blessed in all things. (Revelation 21:10-11)
- Revelation 21:1-5 shows us that the difference between the new heaven/earth (includes New Jerusalem) and the current heaven/earth are the things in them. When the things in the current heaven/earth are made new, the result is the new heaven/earth. We can borrow a leaf from here – if you can do away with the things in the current heaven/earth, you can enjoy the quality of life promised by the New Jerusalem. You can possess the future in the present!
- 1 John 2:15-17 identifies these things for us. They are (1) the lust of the eyes, (2) the lust of flesh and (3) the pride of life. These three (3) things represent the difference between the quality of life in the New Jerusalem and the quality of life you currently experience.
- According to 2 Cor 5:17, the removal of these three agents of pain, sorrow and tears has been done for believers in Jesus Christ! This implies that the quality of life of the New Jerusalem is available to believers today who believe the scriptures and lay claim to what is theirs!
- Furthermore, we see that the glory of God is the light of the New Jerusalem (a city from heaven). Did not the bible say that is also available to believers today? It says in Isaiah that we should rise and shine, because the glory of God is risen upon us (Isaiah 60:1). We are now in the season where God will abundantly reveal knowledge of how to shine with His glory.
- The quality of life in New Jerusalem has been available since the days of Abraham (Genesis 24:1). He enjoyed it and so can we. You access this city by having the fountain of life (Holy Spirit) within you and drinking from this fountain regularly. It will give you access to the tree of life (eternal life – the quality of life God lives). This is why you should believe in Jesus Christ for the salvation of your soul. You should then follow this up with daily prayers, confessions of who you are in Christ, and personal bible study.
The grace of the Lord be with us all. Amen

1 John 2:15-17 – Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever. (NKJV)
