A New Civilisation on the Earth
This post announces that a new civilisation is emerging in the world. It is by far superior to the western civilisation dominant in the world today. The citizens of this new civilisation will be known by one trait – they are led by the Holy Spirit in all that they think, say or do. (April 2021)

Key Points
- The Cambridge Dictionary defines civilisation as human society with its well developed social organisations, or the culture and way of life of a society or country at a particular period in time.
- There have been many civilisations during human history. And there have been a few civilisations that attained global dominance. We know about them from a study of the political history of the world. They include the following:
- The Babylonian civilisation (c. 7th century BC – c.538 BC) – this civilisation attained global dominance in the days of King Nebuchadnezzar who ruled most of the world by military conquests. In Daniel 1:3-5 we learn that Nebuchadnezzar was keen to establish the Babylonian way of life among those whom he had conquered. The two major components of the Babylonian civilisation was its language and literature (the philosophy that underpinned the civilisation, namely magic, astrology and fortune telling).
- The Greek and Roman civilisations (c. 331 BC – date) – these civilisations dominated the world beginning from the conquests of Alexander the Great (c.331 BC – c. 323 BC). The Roman empire later conquered Greece and became the dominant superpower in the world. However, classical Greek culture, especially philosophy, had a powerful influence on ancient Rome. The Romans carried a version of it throughout the Mediterranean and much of Europe. For this reason, Classical Greece is generally considered the cradle of western civilisation, the culture from which the modern West derives many of its founding archetypes and ideas in politics, philosophy, science and art. - The major powers in Europe ensured the spread of the Greek civilisation to the world through imperial colonialism. The whole world learnt new languages (English, French, Spanish, etc.). We went to schools that taught western education. We even wear clothes with fashion originally belonging to the English. From the foregoing therefore, we can safely say that virtually all of us in the world today can to some degree be referred to as ‘Sons of Greece’. This is because our politics (democracy), economic systems, education, science, art, etc. were birthed by the ancient Greek civilisation.
- However, there is a new civilisation promised by God in the holy scriptures (the Bible). This civilisation is now emerging in the world. It is a civilisation that will be propagated by the ‘Sons of Zion’ (Zechariah 9:9-13). It is by far superior to western civilisation. Its language and literature are of God. In Daniel 1:17-21, we see this civilisation being passed down by God to four young men (Daniel included). God gave them knowledge and skills in all literature (politics, economics, science, technology, music, art, etc.) that made them ten times better than their colleagues. The world in the 2020s and 2030s is about to witness the emergence of such men and women, boys and girls, inspired by God, whose skills and knowledge dwarf the current achievements of the world in politics, economic, science and technology, music, arts, etc.
- Language has always played a crucial part in developing civilisations. The ideas, philosophies and culture of a civilisation require a language of communication. This is very much the case for the new civilisation of which we speak. The language of this civilisation is prophesying (includes speaking in other tongues), visions, and dreams as inspired by the Holy Spirit. As we speak, there are men and women, boys and girls who are being tutored in this language in their personal lives. Like Daniel, God engages them with dreams when they sleep, and gives them the interpretation when they wake up and ask Him for it. Furthermore, maturity in the language is marked by the degree of submission to the Holy Spirit. The matured adults of this civilisation are fully submissive to the Holy Spirit in every area of their lives (Joel 2:28-29).
- Through this language of the Holy Spirit the wisdom of God is given to the citizens of this new civilisation. The Holy Spirit is the teacher of this wisdom and His textbook is the Bible. This wisdom of God was cleverly concealed by God in the Bible. The solutions to all problems in the world today – personal, family, business, and national – are encoded by God in the scriptures. By the revelation of the Holy Spirit, this wisdom is now being given to men and women, boys and girls all over the world who trust in Jesus Christ for their salvation and choose to live according to God’s instructions. It is by virtue of this wisdom that they acquire the skills and knowledge far superior to that of the western civilisation which we currently enjoy. It is skills and knowledge that is beyond what the ivory league universities, science and technology labs can discover or teach (1 Corinthians 2:6-10).
- You can tell the citizens of this emerging civilisation around you. They are believers in Jesus Christ, full of the Holy Spirit, meek and humble in their hearts towards God and men. Unlike all the previous civilisations that dominated the world through military conquests and imperial colonialism, the citizens of this civilisation bring peace to the world. They are solution providers to the challenges of individuals, families, businesses and nations (Zechariah 9:9-13).
- This civilisation is a new breed of people. Every country in the world will have them. They will live by the wisdom and power of God. They are the next civilisation mankind is about to experience! You can be one of them if you will accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and mature yourself in following the leading of the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14).
The mercy and grace of God be with us all. Amen.

Daniel 1:3-5 – The king told Ashpenaz, head of the palace staff, to get some Israelites from the royal family and nobility—young men who were healthy and handsome, intelligent and well-educated, good prospects for leadership positions in the government, perfect specimens!—and indoctrinate them in the Babylonian language and the lore of magic and fortunetelling. The king then ordered that they be served from the same menu as the royal table—the best food, the finest wine. After three years of training they would be given positions in the king’s court. (MSG)
Zechariah 9:9-13 – “Shout and cheer, Daughter Zion! Raise your voice, Daughter Jerusalem! Your king is coming! a good king who makes all things right, a humble king riding a donkey, a mere colt of a donkey. I’ve had it with war – no more chariots in Ephraim, no more war horses in Jerusalem, no more swords and spears, bows and arrows. He will offer peace to the nations, a peaceful rule worldwide, from the four winds to the seven seas.
“And you, because of my blood covenant with you, I’ll release your prisoners from their hopeless cells. Come home, hope-filled prisoners! This very day I’m declaring a double bonus – everything you lost returned twice-over! Judah is now my weapon, the bow I’ll pull, setting Ephraim as an arrow to the string. I’ll wake up your sons, O Zion, to counter your sons, O Greece. From now on people are my swords.” (MSG)
Daniel 1:17-21 – As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. Now at the end of the days, when the king had said that they should be brought in, the chief of the eunuchs brought them in before Nebuchadnezzar. Then the king interviewed them, and among them all none was found like Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah; therefore they served before the king. And in all matters of wisdom and understanding about which the king examined them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers who were in all his realm. Thus Daniel continued until the first year of King Cyrus. (NKJV)
Joel 2:28-29 – “And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants I will pour out My Spirit in those days. (NKJV)
1 Corinthians 2:6-10 – However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. (NKJV)
Romans 8:14 – For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. (NKJV)
