The Leading of the Holy Spirit – God functions and benefits the human being in three major ways among others. (1) As the Father who birthed us, provides for us, and protects us. (2) As Jesus Christ who redeemed us, instructs us, and forever lives to make intercession for us. (3) And finally, as the Holy Spirit who indwells us, comforts us, and guides us in our daily lives.
The function of the Holy Spirit is of vital importance to us. He is the one who makes us willing and able to live the way God wants His children to live. He is like the Nanny that trains the child how to bathe, dress, be courteous to people, table etiquette, etc. The Holy Spirit trains us to function as respectable adults in God’s kingdom. Luke 12:32 says: Fear not little children, it is the Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
The Holy Spirit performs this maturing function by guiding us into all truth (John 16:13). As Ephesians 4:15 says: But, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.
It is of vital importance therefore that the child hears the voice, sees the examples, understands, and follows the instructions of the Nanny (Holy Spirit). Otherwise, the child will not become the adult to whom God can give the kingdom. After all, the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost (Romans 14:17). There is no kingdom for us without learning to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our everyday lives!
This series teaches you how to relate with, respond to and follow the promptings and directions of the Holy Spirit. This is the Kingdom of God!
