What is Happening in the World? – These are unprecedented times of trouble. We have just about come through a pandemic that claimed close to 7 million lives. The earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria claimed about 48,000 lives. The war between Russia and Ukraine has inflicted deaths, suffering, and hardship on many people across the globe.
Civil wars and general unrest are ongoing in some countries. Many people have to deal with livelihood challenges due to economic recession and increases in the cost of living. Businesses are suffering from revenue shortfalls, investment losses, and sudden share price drops. The effects of climate change and environmental disasters add to the misery and suffering that have escalated in recent years.
This series of posts provide a biblical perspective on what’s happening to and in our world. However, it is heart-warming to note that though a pregnant woman may be in labour pains for a while, she can expect to rejoice when the child has been born.
