Pillars of Smoke and Clouds in the Market – The King of the economies of this world, the Lord Jesus Christ, the express image of God, is now emerging in the global economy. And this is what He will look like when He fully emerges: as ‘Pillars of Smoke and Clouds’. Jesus Christ is the sole expression of the glory of God, and He is the perfect imprint and very image of God’s nature. He upholds and maintains, guides, and propels the universe (and by extension the global economy) by His mighty word of power. He is now showing up to fix the things that are wrong in our markets.
The term ‘Pillars of Smoke and Clouds’ is a metaphor. It refers to the people through whom Jesus Christ will manifest Himself in our world. These are regular people like you and me, everyone and anyone who makes his or herself available to God. Jesus Christ will manifest God’s wisdom, power, and glory in the global markets through them. They will create a new movement and represent a new phenomenon in the economies of the world. They will be excellent and successful in business and create shared prosperity for all. The wisdom and values they demonstrate will become the new standard for businesses globally.
The career goal for every employee/worker in the economy should be to become a Pillar of Smoke and Cloud in the market. You will no longer need to curry the favour of people or carry out unpleasant favours for them just to advance in your career. Your career will be dictated by Jesus Christ, and no one will be able to stop its achievement through office politics. You will manifest God’s glory in the marketplace.
This glory is now available to be manifested through all players in the market. The objective of this series is to teach how you can inherit this glory. Like Jesus said during His first incarnation on planet earth: ‘Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand’.
